Ever since I have been nudged back to God (as I
call it) I have many what I call "small miracles" or small extraordinary
moments. I'd like to share two.
A couple months ago I was sitting with my four
year old son and he turned to me and said, "I love you." Now he says
this to me a lot, which is wonderful, but at that moment I felt that God
saying He loved me through my son. It was such an awesome moment,
because it was as if God opened the eyes to my heart and showed me a new
way to see and hear Him. I just stared at my son as if I were staring at
God and said, "I love you too." It blew me away.
Another time after I finished jogging and praying,
I was walking back up the hill to my house and as I was walking I felt a
presence walking next to me, so I held out my hand as if to hold the
hand of who was walking next to me (no, I didn't feel a hand) and "we"
walked back to the house together. It was so wild, I could feel the
presence and sense His light near me. I stood in my backyard (as I do
after I jog, to finish praising God) and I was so overwhelmed and
overjoyed... the whole world seemed amazing and sort of surreal. It was
a beautiful moment.
I love these small miracle moments with God.
