I am a recent widow. When my precious husband of
37 years went to be with the Lord last year there was a most
extraordinary moment. My son and daughter-in- law were coming home from
the hospital where my husband had just passed away. My son said
"Look mama".
There was the most beautiful rainbow in the sky
and it stretched over my side of town as we headed home. We all got
choked up. I sat there in the car thanking God for showing me to look up
to Him and Heaven. David, my husband, was now in God's hands. As an
artist I had painted many rainbows but I could not ever imagine one as
beautiful and perfect as the one we saw that day. When I got home my
daughter called and said, "Mama there was a rainbow over our house. Did
you see it?"
We just all broke down in tears saying how
God took Daddy home on a rainbow. A man in my Sunday school class happen
to be out walking with his wife and took a picture of it, never knowing
how much it would mean to me. He was able to send it to me. My grandsons
4 and 6 were able to learn about God in a special way as I told them
that GaGa was with God in heaven now. My sweet grandson looked up and
said "So GaGa went to heaven on a rainbow." God is so amazing and speaks
to our hearts in so many ways but this was the most extraordinary one
for me ever.
