I am a single mother of two little boys, one 7 and the
other 5. I work full time and work diligently in the ministry that we attend. I noticed that my finances
lately had been falling a little short. Bills were piling up and I was
struggling to make ends meet. The other day at a mid-week service as the worship music saturated my soul, I asked God to reveal to me what was going on in my finances. I asked him to show if I was doing something wrong or if He was trying to teach me a lesson. I told him that I loved him and reminded him that He promised that if I was obedient in my tithes (which I am) that He would pour out a blessing that I did not have room enough to receive. The next day I had to schedule an emergency physical appointment for my sons.
Well, I didn't have the $100.00 that they required for my children to been seen, but I went out on faith and charged it to my debit card anyhow.
That Saturday, as I was getting dressed for the day, I decided to put on some jeans to be comfortable for the day.
The Lord spoke to me and told me to put on a specific pair of jeans. I
thought to myself, okay Lord, and put the jeans on. Then I dug my hand into the left pocket to smooth it out. As I dug my hand into the right pocket to smooth it out as well, I felt some paper in my pocket. I realized
it was money. I thought "oh good some money to grab a bite to eat with" but as I unfolded the money, lo and behold it was a $100 dollars bill. My God had provided. I was so excited that I was caught between laugher and tears as I rejoiced in the Lord.
The lesson that I learned that day
is: I serve, we serve, a faithful God whose Word does not lie. Our God is awesome and
He takes care of his children. I love my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Amen.
