Yesterday evening I was speaking with my 90 year old father on my
cordless phone. (He lives 250 miles away). I was walking while talking,
and stopped to
look out the kitchen window.
I noticed a hummingbird had landed on the small live oak in my front
yard. I commented about it to my father, and then said, "It's just
sitting there. Now it's turned around."
Then, I waved to it with my right hand fingers, not thinking much about
it. What happened next was absolutely awesome. The hummingbird
flew up to the kitchen window (face to face with me) and just hovered
there, as if to say hello. I told my father, "God just said "hello".
Whatever "grabs your heart"; God will find a way to reach you.
He is so awesome and never fails us. We look for Him in the big
stuff, when He is "all over us" in the small
stuff. May we all hear Him when he whispers our name.
